Flat roof systems

Built-up Asphalt Membrane System
a waterproof membrane consisting of alternating layers of roofing fiberglas felt and hot asphalt. The typical system consists of a base sheet and two or three layers of ply sheets. A flood coat of hot asphalt is applied over the entire roof and can be finished with a layer of clean pea gravel, a mineral-surfaced fiberglass cap sheet, or several reflective or elastomeric coatings. The finish of the roof provides protection from ultraviolet sunrays, minimizes heat gain into the building, and gives the roof its required fire rating.

Hybrid-ply Modified Bitumen
a waterproof membrane consisting of a base sheet, one to two layers of fiberglas felt and hot asphalt, and a tough, granulated modified bitumen finish sheet for UV protection. The result is a hybrid built-up roof which has the benefits of a built up application along with the UV protection of a membrane roof.

Metacrylic Elastomeric Membrane
a layered blanket of elastomeric acrylics encapsulating a tough stitchbonded polyester fabric providing a flexible waterproof roof. Metacrylics is applied directly to the plywood (or over a Class A fire rated 1/4″ DensDeck). The result, a monolithic seamless roof with no seams to fail. There are a variety of colors to choose from or the standard Metacrylics White, an Energy Star Certified Roof Product that keeps the roof cool in summer and locks in heat in winter.

Pitched roof systems

Asphalt Composition Shingles
common system designed for roofs having a slope of 3:12 or greater. Typically the system consists of one layer of 15# or 30# asphalt-impregnated roof felt underlayment and a second layer of composition shingle, which is made of asphalt saturants and granules imbedded in the shingle. Laminated shingle consisting of two layers of fiberglass-reinforced mattings that are laminated into a single units–is most commonly used. Depending on your specific needs, we can specify a brand, color, design and grade at an affordable price.

Wood Shake Shingles
a common and traditional system designed for roofs having a slope of 3:12 or greater. Typically the system consists of one layer of 15# or 30# asphalt-impregnated roof felt underlayment and a second layer of cedar wooden shingles. The shingles come in a variety of color treatments, sizes, and grades of fire ratings.

Ridged Tile Roofing
a traditional system designed for roofs having a slope of 3:12 or greater. It consists of a hot-mopped fiberglas felt underlayment or self-adhered single-ply membrane and a layer of shingle or tile materials made of slate, terra-cotta, metal or concrete. Terra-cotta tiles are commonly referred as “Spanish Tile” and are one of the most decorative of historic roofing materials because of their great variety of shapes, colors, patterns, and textures.
